I'm ready for Summer

I was just looking through a found SD card that I haven't seen since last summer.  I'm ready for the snow to melt and a getaway.  These shots are from our trip last summer to the northwest.  Orcas Island is a beautiful spot - I'm ready to go back tomorrow!

Asking Katie to Prom!

We have all had a little fun helping Seth ask Katie to prom over the past few days. Seth had his "cousin Katie" text a silly little poem a line at a time all day Saturday and Sunday. Katie seemed to have a blast - I think she said she got 70 texts back over the 3 days from people trying to figure out who she was. Seth did his best to convince her friends that it was not him asking and that he had plans to ask her later in the week. I think he had a few believing him. On Monday - he had each of Katie's teachers give her an egg in class and then we put the rest of the 250 Easter eggs in her car. They all had a little note in them - like "not this one, try again, how about the purple one, etc." One of them had the rest of the little poem asking her to prom. It was all fun - my friend Janis (who happens to be related to Katie) got a key to her car and helped me deliver the eggs - Thanks Janis! This whole thing has been a little confusing having 2 Katie's involved. I hope she says yes now - I'm pretty sure she will - I just hope she gets him back and can figure out a way to embarrass him doing it. I'd be glad to help with that part!

Shelby :)

Shelby doesn't like to perform - unlike one of her sisters. They did have a 5th grade program last month and she did a great job. It was fun to watch and some of the songs I really enjoyed. Shelby is definitely the tallest in her class right now. I keep trying to convince her that it will not last. It's hard to be the tallest at school, but great on the basketball floor! We got a little more basketball in on Saturday in Preston. The girls played better that they have for quite a while. Here are a few more pix:

20th anniversary

Last Tuesday was our 20th anniversary-- we celebrated by both going to work!  Fun, Fun?  These beautiful flowers came for me at my office.  On Wednesday we did take a drive to Pocatello and have a nice dinner on our way to the Rockland school board meeting.  Jim was on the panel to discuss the pros & cons of the 4-day school week.  It was nice to get away for dinner and to have the time in the car together alone - That seems to be all there is time for nowadays.  I will take it - it was just nice to be with Jim alone.  It doesn't seem like it could be 20 years!

Look @ the grin!

I can't say too much, but that kind of grin only comes when he catches the eye of a certain girl. Mara gets all the credit for catching the moment. Ooh, I'm going to be in trouble for this one!

I'm borrowing (O.K. stealing) Carol's motto

Live your life in such a way that
when your feet hit the floor in the morning,
Satan shudders & says,
"Oh crap...she's awake!!"
